William Morris: designer of wallpaper, furniture, textiles and typefaces; manufacturer of stained glass windows; architect, poet, novelist, translator; member of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood; father of the Arts & Crafts Movement; social reformer; inventor of the mediaeval-style fantasy world; co-founder of the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings. The influence of the great Victorian remains with us to this day, and is present on every page of this site.
